Hello, my dear students, I hope you have had a great time being with your family at home and taking care of yourself. I know this pandemic had changed the way we were doing all things, but I trust in God that after it gets over we will have the opportunity to see all the people around us that are really important in our lives.

I want to tell you that I really miss our sessions and the time for sharing ideas, experiences, and knowledge.  Since we are starting our classes I want to share with you the class methodology and the rules for this new adventure.

We will have 3 synchronous meetings in ZOOM and 3 Asynchronous moments in which you as a student have to work on the assigned activity. 


Tuesday: 7:30- 8:10: Welcome and Methodology socialization.

Wednesday: 10:50- 11:40: Review Time.

Friday: 7:30- 8:10: Feedback Time.

Also, we will have asynchronous meetings in which you as a student should devote time to activities assigned by the teacher related to the topics explained in the first hour.

Also, the rubric to evaluate the video will be socialized with the class for them to have an idea about the criteria that is going to be part of the evaluation.

Reinforcement plan second term

Write an opinion essay in which you stay your point of view about how have been your experience during this lockdown at home, how your life had changed during these 5 months and what you can recommend people to do to keep on going with this situation.
The essay should have 300  hundred words. Include the grammar studied during the second term (past perfect, third conditional, and the passive voice.)

 Ss should work in pairs and create a meme in which they use modal past to refer to a past situation that expresses criticisms, regret, or disapproval. It should be uploaded to DRIVE at the end of the meeting.

- The class will take part in the activity reading aloud, this is done with the purpose of checking students reading comprehension and at the same time their pronunciation and fluency. (reading pg. 74 points 1 and 2)

After the students have read and shared their points of view about the text they should work on points 3 in pg. 75 and 4 in g 76. The evidence should be uploaded to DRIVE at the end of the meeting.

-Students are going to receive feedback about the activities that have been done during this third term. After it, they will be exposed to some information regarding the class project they have to develop based on the book project SELFIES WITH A SENSE on page 78. Ss have to work in groups of 3.

The teacher will explain in detail the instructions provided in the Ss’ book and they will discuss the methodology and information they will use for the presentation.

 The class will continue with a group activity in which the Ss should watch the movie AVENGERS END OF GAME with the purpose of identifying situations that are related to the topic regrets and wishes. After they have watched the movie for around 40 minutes they should work on the following activity: Comparative chart in the asynchronous moment.

 Asynchronous Meeting #3:

 After watching the movie, the students in groups of 3 should create a comparative chart in which they have to choose 3 characters of the movie and reflect about the wishes and regrets that they have had along the time they have been fighting against Thanos. This chart should be uploaded to drive.

Synchronous Meeting #1:

Tch. will provide the vocabulary related to the reading that will be hold during the session. Pain Relievers Reading Comprehension, Ss will have 10 minutes to look for it and clarify any doubt they may have regarding it.

The class will start the reading task, they should read the information taken from the pain reliever bottles and answer the questions.

Asynchronous Meeting #1:

 Ss continue working on the reading comprehension Pain Relievers. They should be ready for class discussion the next meeting.

 Synchronous Meeting #2:

 Tch. Will start the class by providing feedback to the class about the reading Pain Relievers, students should support the answer they selected and share their point of view about the reading. Ss will learn about what a proverb is. This will enhance Ss participation and they will learn how to apply them in real life too.

In this first meeting, the class will have the opportunity to learn some important facts about Human Rights. The class will work on the last unit content: Human Right First.

 Asynchronous Meeting #1:

 -Ss should work on their English book on page 82 points 1 and 2. They will analyze the most common Rights we as human beings have. Then, Ss should check the international dates on the United Nation Website (Link:  https://www.un.org/en/sections/observances/international-days/). They have to choose one of them and look for information about it to be shared in the next class.

 Synchronous Meeting #2:

 After clarifying any doubt students may have about the topic, the class should work on their Ss book on pg. 83 points 3 and 4.

Taking into account the International date Ss have chosen in advance, the tch will ask them to write a paragraph in which they express a testimony related to the human rights celebration they have chosen, the testimony should refer to a situation in which the human right was infringed.  This testimony should be shown in the next class by using a PowerPoint presentation.

 The class will start by reviewing the vocabulary and grammar studied before the recess week.  For this review activity, Ss should answer some questions shared on the Tch’s Computer screen.

 The class will start with a group game based on Ss’ workbook pg. 51, it is related to modal verbs, for this, the class will be divided into groups of 3 during the zoom session, Ss will have 20 minutes to work on this. When returning to the main session one member of the team should report their answers.

 Ss should devote time to the reading on pg. 53(Ss workbook) and take notes if needed to work on the reading assignment the next week.

 Synchronous Meeting #1:

 The class will start by watching a short video about human rights activists along history.

 After watching the video, Ss should state their point of view about it and will complete a text about human rights with the Tch’s help. The text will be projected on Tch’s computer screen:

 As a second-class activity, Ss should pay close attention to the reading task on their Ss book, pg. 88 points 1 and 2 

Asynchronous Meeting #1:

 Ss should devote time to the reading on pg.89 (Young Fighters), They have to analyze the information provided and complement it with the title that best describes each biography (take into account the point 2 of pg.88)

 Synchronous Meeting #2:

 The class will practice their reading and speaking skills by using Reading Aloud Strategy, they should be prepared in terms of pronunciation and intonation. The class will work on point 3, 4 and 5. Tch will guide the activity.

 Asynchronous Meeting #2:

 The class should work on point 6 in pg.90. Ss will work on pairs and they have to create the biography based on the instructions of this point. The biography should be uploaded to drive at the end of the asynchronous moment, in case they need extra time they can upload it during the rest of the day.

 Synchronous Meeting #3:

 The biographies will be shared with the rest of the class. After it the class will work on the activity called “what we do”, we will explore the website and the different items that are part of the Amnesty International Website. While we are exploring it, Ss should choose one category about the different aspects the group Amnesty works for.

After choosing the category the group should discuss the main aspects and they will choose one strategy to present them and share their opinion about it. Ss should have clear that they have to present a draft for the next session. 


                                    CLASS PLAN WEEK 7

Synchronous Meeting #1:

 In this class, Ss should state their points of view about the Human rights category they have chosen in the previous class.  The Tch will divide the class into small groups by using the Zoom complement: Break out rooms. Each group will receive the instructions for creating the interactive video in which they express how they would help the community to overcome the problems related to the category presented in the Amnesty International Organization Website.  Ss should follow some steps provided on pg. 92 to complement this communicative task.

 Ss should work on the video creation and detailed the information they are going to use before recording it.

Synchronous Meeting #2:

 Ss present the second draft of the communicative task: A call to action Human Rights.
